How many times do we face disappointments? Life is not easy. Time goes by way too fast. When we are young, we have dreams of grandeur, but as we grow old, reality starts to set in. Sometimes life does not turn out the way we expected, but it’s how we deal with life’s ups and downs that keep us on track.
People talk a lot about Rekindling The Passion and living with purpose. Sometimes our purpose can change. I don’t think you have to search for passion because it may already be right in front of you.
Our sense of purpose is the key to success. Purpose is a powerful word. For some it’s a vital part of living. To feel that you bring something positive to the world in which we live. Sometimes our purpose can be driven by a family member that has left us in an untimely manner. This event redirects our lives to pursue a deeper meaning. We might feel as though their journey was not completed and there was still much to be accomplished.
Purpose gives us direction. It begins a path and journey we may not have ever imagined. We are all familiar with the saying, “when one door closes, another opens.” It’s all about the first step you take into that new door. Don’t walk blindly, rather open your eyes to the opportunities that surround you. It all goes back to how you observe if the glass is half full or half empty.
Having purpose is what keeps us focused. Sometimes our purpose helps define our success. If we feel valued, that sense of accomplishment gives us the inner strength and fortitude to continue meeting new goals. Everyone defines their goals differently. A goal can be measured by work success or personal success!
1. What do you want from your life?
2. Why do you work?
3. What drives you?
4. What obstacles have you overcome?
